Grok AI is Now Free for Everyone Across the Globe

Grok AI is a flagship product of Elon Musk’s xAI company that has worked hard in recent days to improve the Grok AI chatbot and make it available for all users across the globe.

Previously, Grok was only available to premium X users who could access it from their X account if they had a Premium Plus subscription for X.

Because of this, Grok has a few million users worldwide, which isn’t enough to support the AI’s long-term plans.

So, xAI decided to make Grok free for everyone so people can use it and learn how good it is compared to other popular chatbot options like OpenAI ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Perplexity AI.

How to use Grok AI for free

If you have a smartphone, simply download x (formerly Twitter) to your device. If you don’t already have an account, sign up. If you have an account, sign in. Then, click the Grok AI icon in the menu at the bottom of the screen.

If you’re on a desktop, open the browser of your choice. Go to x.com or twitter.com, and sign in. Click on the Grok AI option in the sidebar. Once you’re there, ask anything you want in the search box!

I’m sad to say that there is no official desktop or mobile app to go with Grok AI as of yet, which means you’ll need to make an X account if you want to use it. Fortunately, the creators of Grok AI, XAI, have said that they are working on both desktop and mobile apps for iOS and Android.

The creators of Grok AI have also mentioned that they are working on making a stand-alone Grok AI website that can be accessed from any browser.

It’s a bummer that it won’t be available for a few months, but it is nice that Grok AI is fully functional in the meantime.

While we wait for the app and the website, if you do make an X account, you can use Grok AI for text generation, web searches, and image creation.

Obtaining a citation for an answer from an AI chatbot response is extremely important because AI often gets the wrong information. But, if you have a cited source, you have a way to cross-check the answer and you know the source of the information you’re relying on.

2. It gives web pages and post link

In addition to including web pages, Grok will also cite Twitter posts, allowing you to have two different sources to use for cross-referencing information.

The other benefit of the the post-citation is that posts are real-time, making Grok’s answers extremely real-time.

Grok is incredibly fast at generating responses from posts and web pages, making it better than its competitors.

Grok AI is a new generative AI chatbot that has become widely available to everyone. Although it has a few advantages over ChatGPT and Gemini, it also has drawbacks. The best thing about Grok image generation is that there is little to no regulation on how you will use Grok’s image and what you want to generate.

For example, with other AI tools, you aren’t able to generate an image with a specific person’s personality, but in Grok, you can.

You can create any image you want, including images with a specific person. However, this makes Grok concerned because anyone can generate anything with it and potentially misuse it. As a regular user, at least you have the option to use and create images legally as you wish.

5. Completely free

Currently, G rok AI is completely free, and in the free version, you can utilize the full power of Grok. With ChatGPT and Gemini, you must subscribe to be a premium user to access the full power of the chatbots.
