Dell Rebranded its all lineup Similar to Apple

Dell has made revolutionary changes to their lineup of laptops and PCs. Besides sticking with the well-established lines such as Latitude, Vostro, Inspiron and the well-known XPS, Dell has decided to discontinue these lines and start a new series of lineups on January 7 at CES.

The lineup is much easier for everyone to understand compared to the old lineup naming. In new naming, there are three lines.

The new Dell lineup of 1. Dell 2. Dell pro, and 3. Dell pro max is similar to Apple’s lineup. This naming system makes it logical and easy for even non-technical people to understand.

The Dell lineup is a base model computer for students and casual users who need a PC for everyday work like light web browsing and some office workflow.

Dell pro is made for medium-level users who do both creative work and basic tasks. It provides the perfect balance of power and affordability.

The last is Dell Pro Max that name suggests it’s made for users who need heavy power for their work. They are professional users who do creative work such as 4k video editing, streaming, or 3d rendering.

I think this is a best decision from Dell because is looks more stable and easy to remember.

The previous lineup is way difficult to remember because there are so many different names. I can’t imagine figuring out what Dell I have if I’m not a tech person.

There is little disadvantage for changing lineups because it breaks established brand that dell established previously, including XPS, Vostro, etc.

Well the time will tell how well the new naming scheme is beneficial for Dell as well as the user.
